I know, I know...3 months is a pretty long dry spell but I just wanted to let you know that we're still here and we're doing GREAT! Preslie is 15 months old now and is a full-fledged toddler. She is rapidly (much too rapidly for her mama!) kissing those' baby' days goodbye (sniff, sniff) and has no fear of jumping headlong into whatever comes next. She's a running, climbing, jabbering machine who is constantly into something. She has skinned knees, bruised legs from climbing EVERYTHING and a budding confidence and independence that will suit her well...someday. ;)
We love pigtails!!
I used to be unable to find the time to blog because she was so fussy and high maintenance. Now I don't have time because I am perpetually in motion, chasing behind the still-occasionally-fussy-and-high-maintenance-but-sooooo-much-better-than-she-once-was Hurricane Preslie. :) But you know me...I worked too hard to get her so I wouldn't have it any other way!
Hello, my name is Mischief. ;p
I wish that I had time to fill you in on all that's come and gone in the past 3 months, but that would take FOREVER because there's literally something new going on every.single.day. But the highlights are that P is a much better sleeper, a much less frequent but not totally weaned nurser, eats everything in sight (or nothing at all. See, I told you she was a toddler!) and is a generally happier baby...um, toddler...overall. Which makes me a much happier mama overall. :) She is always playing outside, spends time with her cousins and friends, is facinated by bugs, books and babydolls, sings and dances all the time, and she loves her Daddy, her Papaw (my granddad), her Grammie (my mom) and swinging more than just about anything...except her MAMA! :D She still a shy bug in new situations but is coming out of her shell more and more everyday. I've added a few photos from the summer so that you can see how she's grown and what a little fireball she is now!
Looking summery sweet at a cousin's wedding.
Now that I'm not hanging on my fingernails at the end of everyday (just some days!), I really am going to try and do better about blogging. I know...I've said that before but it seems much more doable now that I'm functioning on more than 3 hours of sleep. ;) I've recently come across some good, non-crazy, pretty REAL sounding mom blogs that I like, so I feel a little more inspired to get my bloggity mojo back, you know? And as silly as it might sound, I miss it...and I miss you guys, too, though I did notice that I'm not the only one who seemed to fall off the face of the blogosphere when I finally had a baby. :) At least we're all in good company, right?
So, if you're still around, drop me a comment so I know that you're here, 'kay?
Doesn't she just look like she's about to get into something?!
For tonight, I'm going to fold some laundry, spend some time with my hubby and try to get a little shut eye before my little monster is up and rolling again at the first light of day. Hope you're all doing fabulously! See you again soon...I promise!

P is absolutely beautiful! Glad to see you back, and I understand how easy it is to have days and weeks go buy without blogging. Don't feel obligated to write, just do it when you can.
Awwwwww she's adorable!! I had those days of the crazy no sleep can't think to much to do can't get up days. When my youngest was born, I had a 16 month old who was in 3-6 month clothes, and didn't talk, walk, etc ... it was like having twins at times (although twin mom's HATE when people who don't have twins say that, but I'm sorry - IT WAS!) ... I was trying to learn how to balance both a newborn and this tiny guy I had... I got PPD for the first time and I felt totally disconnected... but I remember when I finally got that first breath of air, I didn't have a baby constantly sleeping on me ... and I started to pull myself together ... {{HUGS}} Welcome back!
Omg. She is so freakin cute. I can't believe how big she is getting! I'm still around though a bad commenter lately ;)
Oh yes - that appears to be the devil shining in those eyes... It happens with my Ethan as well - every now and then when he sees something he's not supposed to do/have.
Glad you're still alive & well!
